➤ UNICEF works in over 190 countries and territories to protect the rights of every child.

➤ UNICEF works in the world’s toughest places to reach the most disadvantaged children and adolescents – and to protect the rights of every child, everywhere. Across more than 190 countries and territories, we do whatever it takes to help children survive, thrive and fulfill their potential, from early childhood through adolescence.

➤ The world’s largest provider of vaccines, we support child health and nutrition, safe water and sanitation, quality education and skill building, HIV prevention and treatment for mothers and babies, and the protection of children and adolescents from violence and exploitation.

➤ Before, during and after humanitarian emergencies, UNICEF is on the ground, bringing lifesaving help and hope to children and families. Non-political and impartial, we are never neutral when it comes to defending children’s rights and safeguarding their lives and futures. And we never give up.

➤ In order to overcome the gender disparity in both primary and secondary education, UNICEF collaborates with the government and other partners. Additionally, it aims to guarantee that all kids finish elementary school and that both boys and girls have access to high-quality schooling.

➤ To help out-of-school girls and boys study and to encourage more gender-responsive curriculum and instruction, we offer gender-responsive technical assistance. For instance, updating textbooks so that the language, visuals, and messaging do not reinforce gender norms, or using innovative techniques for detecting at-risk out-of-school girls and boys.

➤ Two among the most crucial factors that UNICEF takes into account when developing training courses for educators and the general public are gender equality and inclusivity.

➤ Training for the public assures that all kids in the area around a school are registered, go to class frequently, and receive good treatment there. UNICEF has assisted governments in creating training materials and included instruction on how to adapt to differences in the classroom and at schools.

➤ In places with subpar educational metrics, UNICEF has sponsored community engagement initiatives. The emphasis has been on energizing the neighborhood through regionalized initiatives, enlightenment events incorporating already-established neighborhood institutions, including the punctuality campaign, raising knowledge of children's rights, and engaging directly with especially vulnerable households.
